Where are you located?

We are located at 27075 South Sandgates Road in Mechanicsville, Maryland in St. Mary’s County.

What are the event hours?

Check-in for setup in the Carriage House is 11:00 am, usually on Friday.  Check-in for the B&B is at 3:00 pm , usually Friday. The Saturday event will conclude by 10:00 pm, there is a 30 minute grace period for guest departure. Breakdown and cleanup must be completed by 11pm.

Not ready to go to bed yet? B&B overnight guests can continue the celebration with an afterparty on the patio.

Why do you require an event coordinator?

We want you to have the best wedding day possible! Our team of coordinators at The Hitched Company are the best in the business, and so much more than “Day-of” coordination. They provide expert guidance from the moment a contract is signed, all the way through to your wedding day.

Do you have any required vendors?

We provide a carefully curated list of Preferred Vendors once a contract is signed. The coordinator, caterers and rental companies listed are the only requirements, they have met our strict standards and will provide you with the best service, professionalism, and value – not to mention, they will ensure your event will be amazing! The other vendors listed are local businesses we have worked with before, and highly recommend, but are not required.

Can I serve alcohol at my event?

Alcoholic beverages are allowed, and must be served through a licensed caterer, or an approved and insured Maryland bartending service. Alcohol may be brought into the B&B for personal consumption of overnight guests only, and must stay inside of the building.

Are there sound restrictions?

We have the advantage of being on a 65 acre farm, but are still required to abide by Maryland state law. The State of Maryland regulations establish two time periods and two sound level limits: Daytime 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. 65 dBA at the property line. Nighttime 10 p.m. – 7 a.m. 55 dBA at the property line. The DJ’s on our vendor list are professionals, and are mindful of the decibel levels, while making sure the dance floor is full.

Is the venue handicap accessible?

We want to make sure all your guests can have an enjoyable time at your event. A drop off zone close to the Carriage House is available, and the Carriage House is on ground level with double doors for easy access. Our luxury restroom trailer has three steps, and not ADA compliant, but we do have a ground level restroom inside the B&B available for those guests that need access.

Do you require insurance?

We require the purchase WedSafe Event Insurance, or a proof of coverage through your homeowners insurance, for minimum liability coverage of one million dollars ($150-$185). And though it’s not required, we highly suggest adding on a cancelation policy, just to make sure your vendor investments are covered.
